Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking a Purchasing Agent for a direct placement opportunity in the Glendale, KY area. The primary responsibilities for this opportunity will include sourcing the required materials for cell and modules based on the Bill of Material (BOM) from designated suppliers globally. Additionally, this individual will develop annual and mid-long term demand plans, aligning procurement volume with the marketing plan. They will manage global supply chain management, conducting sourcing plans that include materials’ inventory, quantities, and delivery dates in conjunction with the factory plan. Monitoring suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries, quality standard specifications, and swift reconciliation of costs and discrepant materials will be a key part of your role. This individual will define and monitor 4M changes, manage the development schedule, and oversee procurement. Ensuring continuity business plans are in place to manage supplier risk and prevent potential interruptions to the supply chain will be crucial. Managing and reporting on procurement performance, including objective plan vs. performance monitoring, status of savings, and implementation plans. The Purchasing Agent will also manage and report on procurement risk related to costs, deliveries, and inventory issues. This role will involve preparing, distributing, reviewing, and assessing RFQ/RFP to and from qualified suppliers as well as finalizing contracts, terms, and conditions, and registering suppliers on the purchasing system. Experience issuing purchase orders, verifying invoices, performing monthly closing management, and supporting the optimization of core purchasing processes and systems would be ideal for this opportunity.  Lastly, this individual will ensure all vendors have received and agreed to comply with our Ethical Sourcing policies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
