Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), and TS 16494 (Technical Specification for Automotive Quality Management Systems). This role will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct PPAP submissions and approvals, including the preparation of documentation and coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Lead APQP activities throughout the product development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with TS 16494 requirements and drive adherence to quality management systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve quality-related issues and drive problem-solving efforts.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and resolve quality issues through supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with PPAP, APQP, and TS 16494.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interface with customers and suppliers.
