Job Description

CMA’s will be responsible for administering TMS and Spravato treatments, monitoring patients' treatments, updating clinical charts, processing prescription refill requests, and assisting with any other administrative or clerical work as needed or requested by the team. We are looking for empathetic and self-motivated individuals who want to make a difference in the mental health industry

Responsibilities

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Administer TMS and/or Spravato treatments for patients according to prescription provided by physicians on team and monitor all aspects of treatment
  • Record patient encounter notes in the electronic health record (EHR), including reviewing patient inventories (e.g., questionnaires, etc.) diagnosis, medical history, medications and treatment plan in the AdvancedMD system after each session for clinician review
  • Enroll/Entering subsequent Stravato administration into REMS system
  • Responding to any REMs requests
  • Responsible for tracking inventory specific to TMS and Spravato treatment and maintain treatment supplies
  • Communication with specialty pharmacies to order prescriptions prior to patient's appointments for administration
  • Responsible for ensuring patient’s treatment is rendered during approved authorization period
  • Consult with clinicians in all service lines to identify patient needs and navigate identified patients into all medically necessary service lines.
  • Fields and manages patient concerns regarding non-controlled prescription refill requests and communicates with provider in a professional and timely manner to address all controlled and non-controlled medication reviews to respond to each patient request within 24-48 hours
  • Educates patients about treatment details across all PPS service lines and the patient care plan prior to treatment and concurrently as appropriate during treatment
  •  Reviews and documents patient check-in inventories (questionnaires, etc) prior to administering any treatment Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs or seeking Practice Management guidance and/or assistance.
  • Scheduling subsequent treatments for Spravato and TMS
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Stocking and cleaning Spravato and TMS treatment rooms on a regular basis
  • Serves and protects patient confidentiality and physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and accreditation standards if applicable.
  • Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Under the direction of the physicians, contacts pharmacy with prescription refills and records prescription in file.

This is a part time position at our program in Praire Village, KS. 

 


Qualifications
  • Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
  • At least one (1) year clinical experience required if graduate from an approved medical assistant program
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Excellent customer service skills 2 years preferred.
  • Direct patient care experience 1 year preferred.
  • Mental health experience preferred.
  • Obtain BLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must possess a current driver’s license and be in good standing
