Pay rate $28-$42

Milling Machine Operator

Qualifications 

• 2+ years in the asphalt industry
• Knowledge and understanding of asphalt milling machines 
• Must be able to learn an an accelerated pace 
• Able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with supervisors/co-workers

Requirements & Responsibilities  

• Safely operate large roadway equipment in multiple environments
• Ability to communicate with spotter and foreman on ground conditions and situations 
• Ability to read site layout plans
• Able to utilize a string line to ensure maintaining the proper alignment
• Understand production and quantity requirements
• Responsible for daily maintenance on equipment which must remain in proper and safe working order
• Notify supervisor if equipment needs repair

Experience

• Asphalt Mill Operator: Preferred 
  • Will accept 2+ year equipment operator in the asphalt industry 

License/Certification

• Driver's License (Required)
• CDL (Preferred)

Willingness to Travel

• 25% (Required)
