Pony Bird is seeking a Residential Supervisor to join our team to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.

PAY RANGE OF $21.35 - $26.69 PLUS DIFFERENTIALS

EVENING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR | MIDNIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.50 PER HOUR | WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR

What does a Residential Supervisor do?

  • Assist Program Managers in day-to-management and operations in the community living setting
  • Provide immediate supervision of Direct Support Professionals
  • Assist in the implementation process of Individual Support Plans
  • Assist in decisions regarding hiring, terminations, and corrective action
  • Assist and monitor 24/7 community living staff schedules
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with guardians and staff
  • Cover shifts when needed to maintain mandated ratios
  • Participate in a 24-hour 7-day period on-call rotation
  • Ability to travel independently while driving agency vehicles to provide transportation for individuals served
  • Accompany individuals to medical appointments as needed

Schedule and Work Location:

  • Monday - Friday, approximately 12:00pm - 8:00pm
  • On-call hours outside of regular office hours
  • Desoto

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with two years experience in community living setting or high school diploma/GED with five years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in community living setting
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and Medication Aide Certifications, paid training provided
  • Ability to evacuate individuals served in the event of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served
  • Working knowledge and skill set to utilize multiple computer formats and systems
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner
