Role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician - PLC (also known as Electrical Maintenance Specialist, Automation Technician), you'll ensure equipment uptime through in-depth electrical troubleshooting of 480VAC & 24VDC components. You'll have a strong working knowledge of all operating systems in the plant and act as a subject matter expert on behalf of the plant in frequency drives, human machine interface (HMI), plant operating systems, and data collection/system backups. You'll also perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment and general electrical maintenance of the building and grounds.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or other similar manufacturing-related specialization preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an electrical maintenance environment, with 4 years of experience managing people/projects.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting one or more of the following automation systems: Allen Bradley (AB), B&R, and/or Siemens.
  • Skilled in the repair of variable frequency drives, servomotors and controllers, communication systems (asi-bus, can-bus, profi- bus, ethernet), PLC input/output cards, and safety modules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within the automation and electrical area of the plant or machine center.
