Apex Recovery is a co-occurring drug and alcohol treatment program founded in 2013. It is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Health Care Services and accredited by the Joint Commission. We are seeking talented individuals to join our team at our new treatment facility located in Columbia, Tennessee. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for drug and alcohol treatment, to make the experience life-changing, affordable, and successfully bring this healing to people from all walks and backgrounds.

Required Certifications

  • Possess a current and active Tennessee license that is not under suspension or probation as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

  • Have been licensed in Tenessee for a minimum of 6 months

  • BBS Registered

  • CPR/First Aid Certified

Job Duties

  • Completing biopsychosocial assessments

  • Completes appropriate clinical documentation for all services provided.

  • Notifies the Clinical Director if paperwork gets behind and gives a verbal plan of correction.

  • Completes incident reports following any critical incident.

  • Support admission/completions.

  • Complete discharge plans.

  • Assessing safety risk to self or others & when needed developing safety contracts in high-risk situations.

  • Facilitating groups utilizing evidence based practices that incorporate trauma informed care, relapse prevention, harm reduction and a client centred approach.

  • provide individual therapy which may include family and couples therapy utilizing empirically supported modalities

  • developing treatment plans consistent with individualized treatment goals

  • providing milieu support and crisis communication

  • completing incident reports

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complies with established departmental and BHS policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

  • Ability to organize, set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility.

  • Ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate in working with underserved communities.

  • Establishes and maintains contact with community resources to ensure continuity of care (e.g., case managers, rehabilitation and detoxification centers, psychiatric units).

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, family members, other professional staff and the public.

  • Requests assistance and guidance from the Supervisor and professional staff when necessary to address client issues and problems.

  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops

  • Have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with the treatment team, medical providers, professional staff, representatives from government and community agencies

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor

  • Must be physically and mentally able to assist in an emergency situation.
