Position: Accountant III
Location: Miami, OK, 74354
Duration: 3 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday to Friday - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting, and analysis.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix, and standard operating procedure
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Exercise sound data stewardship - following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies
  • Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows
  • Other ad hoc requests as necessary
Education & Experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)
  • Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.
  • Working knowledge of ERPs required
  • Experience with Oracle R12 preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
  • Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
