Position: PCIS Programming Engineer

Location: Lagrange, GA

Duration: Contract/Fulltime

Job Description:

  • Provide support for installation, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting for various control and automation projects.
  • Design Control System Architecture (CSA).
  • Design control study / URD (User Required Document) for the PLC & HMI programming.
  • Machine vision camera integration with PLCs.
  • Design electrical & control panel layout, control schematic drawings and Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Design, review and perform safety validation, safety maps, IQ/OQ, documents for new equipment installation at site.
  • Perform multi-discipline and vendor co-ordination for new equipment installation.
  • Review vendor & engineering documents as per project requirement.
  • Design feasibility study design basis document and detail engineering technical documents Cable schedule, Device List/ Tag List for new equipment / machine.
  • Design & review technical documents like engineering information for fabricator / contractor for activities to be performed in sequence at site for site clearance and new installation.
  • Deliver complex, large-scale projects on time and within the budget in compliance with NEC, NFPA79, OSHA, S88 and PackML Standards.
  • Electrical & Control Drawing Software EPLAN, Promis-E, AutoCAD
  • Communication Networks Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus
  • Programming Standards: IEC 61131-3 Ladder Programming, FBD (Functional Block Diagram), PackML (Packing Machine Language), Safety PLC Programming
  • Microsoft Tools: Windows 7, Windows 10, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Outlook; VM Ware
  • Machine safety requirements and implementation (safety relays and circuits), including NFPA79 and CBA 2050.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements and experience with associated electrical PPE.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative; can plan and execute work with minimal direction. Works well with peers and 'customers'; collaborative and responsive. Ability to learn faster.
  • Manufacturing, Packing and Facilities experience including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Support execution from concept though validation to startup activities.
