The Regulatory Analystis responsible for monitoring regulatory compliance of lease provisions on mineral leases, maintaining well records pertinent to determining the validity of each lease, and offering customer support for the filing of required regulatory documents. Daily correspondence with the operators on University Lands is necessary to ensure data compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and enter data received from the operators regarding well permitting, drilling and completion of wells, operator changes, consolidations, sub-divisions, down-hole commingles, etc. (RRC forms).
• Monitor Regulatory compliance of oil and gas operators on acreage.
• Work with operators to ensure University Lands’ well records are current and complete.
• Create penalty invoices for Regulatory non-compliance.
• Provide Industry education and assistance about data requirements and use of public websites.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree – Required
• Bachelor of Science degree in related field – Preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience with Texas Oil and Gas Regulatory forms – Preferred
• Experience working with the Texas Railroad Commission – Preferred
• Expert verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interest and knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work without supervision
• Knowledge of University Lands
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work well with others

Job Details:

• Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Starting at $40/hr. (based on experience) + benefits.
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
