Corporate Rotating Equipment Engineer Position

Join a leading global chemical company as a Corporate Rotating Equipment Engineer. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision and maintenance of safe, operable, and cost-effective rotating equipment to meet site requirements.
  • Prioritize and manage machinery-related projects, enhancing plant reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including operations and mechanical personnel to optimize equipment performance.
  • Specify and approve new rotating equipment adhering to industry and corporate standards.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for operations and mechanical teams to elevate their proficiency with rotating equipment.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control on both onsite and offsite equipment repairs.
  • Oversee vendor activities related to major machine repairs, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Regularly assess the performance of rotating equipment, initiating improvements.
  • Provide critical support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and operational disturbances.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in managing industrial rotating equipment within chemical or refinery sectors.
  • Expert knowledge of various compressors, pumps, fans, and blowers.
  • Familiarity with key industry standards such as API, ASME, and PIP.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Rotating Equipment.
