Job Description
Overview
We are searching for an experienced Sales Application Engineer at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.
The Sales Application Engineer will work closely with Subzero Engineering and Simplex sales teams, designing new projects with existing and new product offerings while assisting with all necessary requirements for each build. You will work cross functions with product managers, continuous improvement, order fulfillment and other departments within the Mission Critical Environment division of Senneca Holdings.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design, price, and execution (and to some extent project management) of client projects along with members of the sales team.
- Assist the sales team with back-end duties such as technical/installation drawings, acceptable design/use review, technical/design support, and client conference with sales team members.
- Generate accurate Bill of Materials, Quotes, and User Drawings for multiple projects per week.
- Collaborate with assigned members of the Sales Team for process improvement, sales support expectations, and project completion.
- Work to improve efficiency to reduce waste in design to improve customer outcomes and company profitability.
- Problem solve project challenges/site discrepancies quickly and cost effectively.
- Collaborates with Product Engineering for successful implementation of new and existing products, including research and development, application, and product improvement.
- Travel to customer sites to validate designs, perform site measures, and support sales team as needed. 15% travel.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of drafting and design theory best practices, and a working knowledge of Parametric Modeling.
- Ability to multitask, possess excellent time management skills, creative problem solving, excellent written and verbal communication skills with minimal supervision.
- Ability to collaborate and create a cooperative work environment between peers, sales team, drafters, production team, and installation team.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and installation/construction practices is preferred.
- Site measure experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management.
- 2 years’ experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, and related business software.
- 2 years’ experience in Sales or Customer Service.
- Experience managing teams is strongly preferred.
