Accounting Associate - Full-time

Role:

Our Accounting Associate will have a strong understanding of the balancing and reconciling techniques that are presented within an accounting position. The primary purpose of this position is to process daily transaction settlement, reconcile general ledger accounts, and provide support for accounts payable/receivable.

Work Location:

This is an onsite position. Occasional remote work may be available for select positions and is subject to prior approval by management.

What you will be doing:

• Balances daily credit union transactions for the branches, vaults, and member activities, and applies them to the general ledger.
• Analyzes and reconciles all assigned general ledger and bank accounts within applicable time constraints
• Performs accounts payable and receivable responsibilities to include invoice processing, posting invoice entries, and the issuance of vendor payments.
• Supports the accounting department with the preparation of month-end closing entries.
• Responsible for the preparation of annual tax filings.
• Ensures compliance with the policies and procedures of the credit union and all applicable federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
• Provides back-up to all other positions, as needed.
• Performs all other duties as required.
