Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager - Full-time

• Provide assistance to Account Managers and Producers in handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines business
• Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested
• Coordinate expirations with assigned Account Managers and Producers to obtain renewal and/or new business information. Maintain renewal review spreadsheet
• Request bids from carriers; follow-up on receipt of proposals and verify bid specifications
• Assist in marketing new and renewal business, determine premiums, prepare presentation packets, and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier
• Make recommendations to producers regarding quotes, ideas, and issues needing to be addressed
• Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems when necessary
• Document service requests and any communications with team and clients
• Maintain a suspense system to follow-up on outstanding issues, correspondence, reports, and follow-up on overdue and suspense items
• Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines
• Perform special projects at management’s request

• Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills both verbal and written
• Should have thorough understanding of Life and Health underwriting and coverages
• Working knowledge of Windows based computers, and Microsoft Office products
• Minimum 1-year experience in similar position is desirable
• Must be able to obtain General Property & Casualty license per state requirements
