Transfer Driver/Material Handler
Come and join a growing and dynamic family and employee-owned business. Anchor Paper Company has been established since 1923 and is the leading Midwest Distribution of Premium Fine paper and Industrial products. This position is located at our River Valley Converting facility in River Falls, WI.
Starting Pay: $20.00 hour
3 Days a Week
Hours are 6am - 2pm
Job Function:
The Driver role is to deliver warehouse orders and transfers. This role includes loading and unloading the truck and safely delivering products to routed locations. The Material Handler role transports materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.

The Driver role is to deliver warehouse orders and transfers. This role includes loading and unloading the truck and safely delivering products to routed locations. The Material Handler role transports materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transporting finished goods per route schedule.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
- Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents accuracy.
- Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
- Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using clamp trucks, pallet jacks and/or forklifts).
- When problems arise, resolves issues with vendors.
- Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to accounting department.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure necessary paperwork is filled out as required.
- Load/unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Assist in staging completed order for shipping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Display consistent courteous, professional manner with employees & visitors.
- Must have D.O.T. certification or Class B license.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks & ensure timely completion.
- Must be able to meet the attendance requirements per the company policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. & team lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Requires a lot of walking in warehouse.
- Requires standing in one spot for long periods of time.
- Requires a lot of sitting in one spot for long periods of time.
