Description

What you'll be doing...

The IT Service Desk Technical Level I is a member of the IT support team providing Tier I level software, hardware, and network support. The technician is responsible for assisting end users on a day-to-day basis with IT related issues. They will utilize the ticketing system and document issues and results in real time. They ensure proper functionality of the information processing systems and oversee necessary upgrades. This person ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software is updated to meets organizational needs. They possess a positive attitude when working with others and have a helpful spirit when finding solutions. This person is technically savvy, detail oriented and works well in various business and technical settings. Additional duties include:

  • Addresses customer support calls for IT related problems, providing call resolution
  • Provide excellent customer service to end users by communicating all stages of progress in resolution of the reported problem
  • Performs advanced Desktop/Laptop and network administration duties to include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems, printers, and peripherals
  • PC setup, re-image, application installation and software break/fix for PCs
  • Conducts training designed to educate computer users about connecting to corporate resources remotely
  • Creates and maintains an infrastructure that supports highly mobile remote team members, telecommuters, remote offices, and information sharing across diverse locations.
  • Coordinates the opening of new branches. Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Schedule wiring contractor if needed (data and electrical)
    • Procure user equipment (monitors, printers, fax machine, etc.)
    • User equipment setup and configuration
    • Coordinate copier delivery with the Administration department
    • File/Print/Imaging server setup and configuration
    • VOIP phone setup and configuration
    • Network equipment installation setup and configuration
  • Performs installation, configuration and testing for the corporate video conferencing solution
  • Monitor network connections and server health to ensure a stable infrastructure
  • Travel up to 40% locally

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Requires a base knowledge of computer fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • A Plus Certification or equivalent experience preferred

2 years: Experience utilizing remote control software to troubleshoot and resolve PC desktop support issues (required)
