Caregiver

Job Summary:
Village Caregiving in Point Pleasant, West Virginia is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing hands-on care and support to our senior residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to residents, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Help residents with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Assist with medication reminders.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Engage and participate in activities with residents to promote social interaction and wellbeing.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional health to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-year experience as a caregiver in a healthcare or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
