Position Overview

The Production & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the daily production schedule and ensuring orders are processed and completed on time. This role supports the Scheduler and Operations team by coordinating and monitoring the flow of work throughout the production process.

Essential Job Functions

  • Facilitate the daily schedule to Fabrication/Weld/Assembly.
  • Work with all departments on schedule needs to ensure customer dates are met and/or exceeded.
  • Communicate with Operations/Sales/Engineering/Purchasing on the status of all orders.
  • Facilitate the daily order picking for the warehouse team.
  • Review backorders and promptly fill them once parts arrive.
  • Review manufactured Kanban levels and work with Operations to create new orders when needed.
  • Set up all inbound and outbound trucks and communicate with the necessary parties.
  • Report production on manufactured parts and finished goods once they are complete.
  • Create work order packets for Fabrication/Weld/Assembly.
  • Assist with entering data into Microsoft Office programs for Fabrication/Weld/Assembly.
  • Ability to assist with relocating resources to meet Production Schedule.
  • Determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend work-around solutions.
  • Comply with company safety regulations, mission, and core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in scheduling and logistics for a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing expertise.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Material handling experience is a plus.
  • Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
