Austin Wildlife Rescue is hiring full-time Seasonal Animal Care Technicians to work through the end of October. Technicians work directly with a variety of native Texas wildlife, including mammals, birds and reptiles. We are hiring Full-time Day shift staff only at this time.

Job Location
* Rehabilitation Center 111 Elbow Bend, Elgin, TX 78621

Schedule
* Day shift staff are scheduled for four days a week 6am-4pm.
* Day shift staff work every other weekend (Sat & Sun).

Responsibilities/Duties:
* Cleaning cages
* Feeding animals
* Administering medications
* Maintaining care plans for injured animals,
* Providing direction/guidance to interns and volunteers
* Assisting the public with animals they bring to our facility.
** This is a very physical job that requires a lot of movement and lifting.

Requirements/Preferences:
* A degree in wildlife management or related field is preferred.
* A year of experience working with wildlife is preferred.
** Rabies pre-exposure vaccines are required for this position and cost is the responsibility of the employee.
