LOCATION: International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE)

What You'll Do

This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery Pull-Tabs.

This position will play a key role in directing the efforts of the finishing department Operators and Helpers while ensuring quality of product is up to standard. A key focus will be on improving the efficiencies of each machine center. This position will involve learning the operation of each machine center and filling in as needed on occasion. Trouble shooting skills and aptitude are required.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct the efforts of the machine operators and crews under the direction of the shift supervisor.
  • Assist operator(s) with troubleshooting machine related problems and fill in as operator when needed.
  • Train new hires in safe operation of equipment and on scheduled maintenance and daily requirements.
  • Assist the shift trainer in ensuring staff understand the job requirements.
  • Identify quality issues related to machine operations and assist in the correction of quality issues.
  • Review and adhere to production schedules and suggest efficient changes where warranted.
  • Observe and follow job ticket instructions.
  • Maintain consumable supply inventory and report deficiencies.
  • Maintain and promote a process improvement environment.
  • Direct the maintenance of a clean work environment.
  • Demonstrates working in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated experience as determined by department management (i.e., maintenance, direct lead operator in a packaging, printing or label production environment).
  • Technical training specific to responsibilities.
  • 5 to 7 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years' of demonstrated interpersonal skills with the capacity to lead a team effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing two or more functional areas of a manufacturing facility.
  • Possess experience in oversight of manufacturing, quality, scheduling and overall performance.
  • Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work, and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines.
  • Aptitude to learn new computer software.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective in time management.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • External candidates must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
