As the Computer & Newtwork Support Specialist, you will join a dynamic group of technology professionals where there is something new to take on every day. You will have the ability to wear many hats, and work with many different technologies. As an experienced infrastructure professional, you will assist the team in mitigating vulnerabilities in the corporate network. You will help continuously improve our network practices, processes, and keep company and customer data safe across our services and infrastructure. Assignments will cover all divisions and locations of the corporation.


What does the Computer & Network Support Specialist do for RITALKA?

  • Analyze the organization's computer and network system needs and then recommend, design, test, implement, and support the resulting architecture, including but not limited to local and wide area networks, routers, servers, and other data communication systems.
  • Debug problems caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures.
  • Evaluate and optimize network or system performance
  • Document computer and network systems as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades
  • Train users in the proper use of hardware and software
  • Participate in data backups and backup resiliency testing
  • Participate in network operations (capacity planning, migrations, new server builds, maintenance of Active Directory, ticket response, and communications)
  • Use their familiarity with Nagios, Sophos, Linux, O365, Windows Server XXXX, Veeam, Backup Exec, Microsoft Hypervisor, PRTG, Exchange, Clustering, SAN/NAS configuration, DR/BR processes

What are we looking for in a great candidate? Someone who:

  • Uses time management skills effectively to complete work in a timely fashion to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Understands the fundamentals of computer and network systems, seeks information when needed to assure infrastructure systems are efficient.
  • Ability to learn new technologies very quickly and resolve problems involved in integrating new technologies.
  • Demonstrates initiative, perseverance, and attention to detail.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related subject
  • 5+ years of progressive network infrastructure experience

OR

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
