The Associate Director of Financial Aid (ADOFA) assists the Director of Financial Aid with providing direction and planning necessary for overseeing the school’s entire Financial Aid operation to ensure maximum utilization of Federal resources. The Associate Director of Financial Aid conducts overviews for student financial aid, entrance and exit interviews, and packages financial aid for all new student enrollments, as well as, continuing students. Responsible for forecasting cash in-flow for the school. Awards and tracks Federal Pell Grants and other federal student loans, Florida Student Assistance Grants, and Student Educational Opportunity Grants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
  • Prior work experience in Financial Aid
  • Prior experience working in proprietary schools

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the supervision of Financial Services team and assigning responsibilities.
  • Ensure proper awarding of Federal funds and completion of verification.
  • Audits and certifies all files for each start date including verification of all documents uploaded.
  • Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization’s goals and objectives; trains, supervises and evaluates unit staff.
  • Develops and recommends policies for financial aid which support goals and policies of the institution and which ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend financial aid to qualified student applicants.
  • Meet with students to analyze student eligibility for financial aid; review and approve student loans. Input FAFSAs daily and print needs analysis for file review, monitor, and adjust student aid awards as necessary. Resolve student appeals pertaining to their financial aid eligibility/awards.
  • Administer multiple student assistance programs (Federal and private). Package futures to a 0 balance and schedule their aid in CampusVue

Supervisory Responsabilities:

  • Staff meetings and 1 on 1 meetings with FA members
  • Employee Performance Management (Coaching/Mentoring)
