School Special Education Assistant (Paraprofessional / Aid) - Conway, NH

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers in daily classroom tasks, activities, and management.
• Student Assistance: Provide individualized support to students, especially during 1:1 sessions.
• Special Needs Assistance: Comfortably assist children with special needs, including those requiring toileting assistance.
• Material Preparation: Prepare, organize, and set up classroom materials.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Safety: Prioritize the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Meetings: Participate in regular school and team meetings.

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or aid, specifically with special needs children.
• Comfort and proficiency in managing 1:1 sessions, toileting, and other specialized care tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Profound understanding of core educational concepts and special needs considerations.
