The New England Territory Manager manages the New England sales market with an emphasis on the greater Boston area. The primary function of this role is to promote cement products, sustain and build customer relationships and to respond to market trends. This is a salary exempt position based in Massachusetts and reports to the New England Sales Director.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Create demand and sell organizations products to potential customers and prospects
Attain sales goals for territory volume, selling price, and market share for cement and slag
Promote company brand and overall marketing strategies
Forecast customer and market demand
Collaborate to improve marketing, promotion, pricing, service, credit and logistics
Inform customers of price and supply trends
Resolve customer problems and concerns in a timely and effective manner
Participate in trade association meetings and conventions
Required Skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and reasoning skills
General knowledge of the construction materials industry
Ability to communicate cement and slag product information
Strong product and technical knowledge in cement and slag preferred
Must be MS Office Proficient
Prior experience managing a sales territory is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an excellent driving record
Overnight travel required to attend meetings, conventions and to work with customers as needed
Minimum 2-year degree required
Familiarity with the Boston construction market
