Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, updating, and maintaining relevant office procedures
- Work within an IEHR (ModMed- EMA)
- Answer multiline phone system
- Use Klara to communicate patient messages
- Patient reminder calls
- Schedule patient appointments
- Work at the front desk; check patients in/out, run insurance eligibility, collect deductibles and copayments, obtain insurance referrals and prior authorizations
- Work under pressure with the ability to multitask
- Balance and close your daily batch
- Assist patients with insurance questions
- Address and resolve customer concerns with a professional attitude
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, Associates degree or administrative training is preferred
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Use of EMA ModMed EHR a PLUS
- One year of dermatology experience a PLUS
- Previous experience as an Office Coordinator or in a similar position in medical office for at least 3+ years
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Google Workspace and Google Drive
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
