OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
We are looking for Plant Processing Personnel to harvest livestock, skillfully cut and package into retail ready products, ensure quality of all cuts, support operations, and to exceed customer expectations. Quapaw and Cypress Valley are looking for an independent thinker who has a proven track record of improving processes, ensuring food safety and quality, and ensuring an incredible finished product. A successful candidate has the ability to see the big picture while executing on a Cypress Valley operational level to improve overall performance. Additionally, he or she is never satisfied with the status quo.
Processing Plant Personnel reports directly to the Room Lead. S/he must develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers. Processing Plant Personnel will work in a team approach with the staff, management team, vendor partners, and customers to establish, maintain, measure, and revise Cypress Valley’s operational systems. S/he must be a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team’s success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Harvest livestock
Skillfully cut into retail ready cuts
Package into retail ready products
Trim to customer specifications
Help monitor all daily logs & record
Maintain organization
Inspect packaging to ensure labeling requirements are met
Clean and sanitize work environment
Assist as needed in plant operations
Lead by example
Maintain a positive team morale
Help solve problems and teach others to become problem solvers
Create an excellent customer experience
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds, etc.)
Good hand-eye coordination

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $11.25-14.50 per hour depending upon experience. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done. Experience is preferred but not necessary. On the job training is provided.
