Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. Our client is now seeking a RN traveler for their Acute Care department. This is a rural, Critical Access hospital located 2 hours from Portland along the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. The Med Surg department consists of medical and transitional care beds with an average census of 5-7. Care is managed by 24/7 Hospitalists. 2 RN's and 1 CNA staff the unit on the night shift. There is furnished housing on-site.

- The duration is for a contractor for 13 weeks
- The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
- Holiday coverage is required

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
- Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
- Recording patient vital signs and medical information
- Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
- Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Administering non-intravenous medications
- Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
- Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing preferred
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
- Pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR
- General Certifications: ACLS BLS/BCLS PALS
- Nursing Certifications: CPI ENPC RNFA TNCC AWHONN NIHSS STABLE ASLS NBSTSA APHON CMA CCMA RMA
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
- Basic computer skills
