Join us as a Prep Cook at FivePine!
FivePine has a focus on Local and Sustainable food, and we strive to prepare fantastic meals for our guests. FivePine has a great work environment and a team that supports one another.
Your day will involve food preparation for our events and daily continental breakfast. A flexible schedule is important for this role as some shifts are morning breakfast shifts, while some event shifts are mid-day or evening shifts. Scheduling is communicated well in advance and posted a month at a time.
During morning breakfast shifts, you will be responsible for keeping breakfast items well-stocked, and prepping for the following day.
When working events, you will be responsible for preparing menu items from the prep list with minimal supervision. Events include but aren’t limited to travel groups, corporate retreats, and weddings with food needs varying depending on event.
We take great care in the cleanliness and maintenance of the building, kitchen and storage area. We all pitch in to keep it looking great and take care of cleaning!

What you bring:
- 2 years restaurant experience (FOH, BOH, or combination)
- Comfortable in Kitchen settings and use of basic kitchen equipment, including knife handling
- Working knowledge of food preparation
- A valid Food Handlers permit - or the ability to obtain one
- Flexible schedule
- Open lines of communication with Chef and event staff
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude with guests, co-workers, vendors and show respect for others at all times
- Provide great customer service
- Maintain high standards of food quality and preparation
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparing menu items from prep lists under minimal supervision
- Basic Knife Skills
- Perform cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness of kitchen, reach-ins, walk-ins, and storage areas
- Properly receive and store deliveries and supplies
- Follow recipes and chefs’ instructions
- Maintain strict health code standards
- Keep breakfast items well stocked
- Dishwashing
