A very well established, reputable, and family-owned company is in need of a Fabricator and Welder. We are looking for an experienced person who possesses adequate skills in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. This person will need to possess skills in hand grinding and finishing work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 (Two) years of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication of steel, stainless, and aluminum, demonstrating expertise in creating high quality and accurate components.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Weld Components in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions
• Produce components and assemblies from blueprints.
• Monitor the fitment, bending, and welding processes to avoid incorrect parts.

·         Interpret blueprints and technical specifications and plan for fabricating parts in an efficient order.

·         Understand fabrication processes and select appropriate materials.

·         Perform mechanical assembly and integration of components, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality.

·         Conduct welding operations using various techniques and materials, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

·         Operate a variety of fabrication equipment and machinery, to cut, bend, and shape materials to fabricate parts and structures.

·         Operate fabrication machinery and equipment, including but not limited to press brakes, shears, grinders, lathes, mills, and hand tools to fabricate parts to specifications.

• Represent the company in a professional manner to prospects and clients.
• Ability to recognize weld errors.

Essential Requirements:

·         Minimum of 2 (Two) years of experience fabricating and welding with all types of metals.

·         Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

·         Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·         Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

·         Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in welding and fabrication.

·         Experience recognizing various metals, their thicknesses, stock sizes, alloys, and applications.

·         The ability to read a standard and metric tape measure.

Beneficial, but not required attributes:

• Basic physics and chemistry knowledge.
• Oxy-fuel torch function.
• Ability to read calipers and micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
• Forklift/heavy equipment operation experience.
• Manual transmission operation.
• AC and DC wiring basic knowledge.
• Backing up trailers.
