Vendor Data Entry Specialist

VENDOR DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST

Direct-hire role for our client west of Pittsburgh, PA
Workplace Type: Hybrid (3 days per week in office – initial training period may require additional time on-site)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately input data such as vendor information, purchase orders, invoices, and inventory levels into the company’s ERP system
• Verify entered data for accuracy and make necessary corrections
• Organize and maintain procurement documents both in digital and physical form
• Assist in generating reports and provide data analysis to support decision-making
• Assist identify potential vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and select those that meet the company’s standards for quality, price, and reliability
• Assist with assessing and mitigate risks associated with vendors and supply chain processes
• Ensure all vendor activities follow company policies and legal requirements
• Work closely with the procurement team to streamline processes and improve data quality
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate’s degree or higher in business administration or related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience
• Strong business acumen and customer service orientation
• Strong typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate vendors critically
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with ERP systems, and other strategic sourcing technologies
