A day in the role…
- Sitting at the front desk when the patient walks in, checking them in and out.
- Patient registration, scheduling follow up appointments.
- General customer service to all patients to assist with any needs.
- Answering all phone calls as they come in in order to best help patients.
- Documenting Doctor's notes on the patient files in the EMR system.
- Calling insurance companies to obtain authorizations and going on payer websites to verify patients' insurance and coverage.
