Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Contract Position)
Location: Virginia (VA)
Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team at a Special Education (SPED) school in Virginia. This is a contract position with petitive pay, guaranteed hours, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidates will possess the necessary state licensure for Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Plan and deliver effective instruction tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and interventions as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Virginia state licensure in Special Education (or ability to obtain before start date).
- Strong understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
