Primary Function
The primary function of this position will be to maintain and upgrade our petroleum service station equipment in a safe and efficient manner while complying with the standards set forth by NYSDEC, EPA, PADEP, W&M, OSHA, and Reid Petroleum.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To)
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment including electronics and hydraulics, submersible turbine pumps, monitoring equipment, and point of sale systems.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate cost-effective solutions.
- Obtain and maintain industry and manufacturer certifications.
- Safe and knowledgeable use of battery-operated tools.
- Respond to after-hours emergency service requests for "site down" or other priority situations in an on-call rotation.
- Accurately complete all necessary forms – work orders, inventory, checklists, etc.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and well-organized service vehicle and inventory of repair parts.
- Effectively communicate with customers, explain the issues, and repairs necessary for those that do not understand the equipment.
- Take direction from the acting Supervisor and perform requested tasks safely/efficiently.
Pay Scale
0-2 years of experience - $19-$20/hr.
2-4 years of experience - $20-$23/hr.
4+ years of experience - rate is negotiable.
Verifone Certified – additional $1/hr.
Wayne Certified – additional $1/hr.
Specialty Trade Certifications/Training – additional hourly rate is negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and clean NYS Class driver’s license.
