Automotive sales

Job Summary:
The Automotive Sales position at James Chevrolet is a full-time, individual contributor role in the dynamic and fast-paced automotive industry. Located in Johnstown, New York, this position offers a competitive salary of $45000 to $120000 per year, paid biweekly, with the opportunity for commission-based earnings.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all vehicles and products offered by James Chevrolet
- Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner, both in-person and over the phone, to understand their needs and recommend the appropriate vehicle and features
- Conduct vehicle test drives and provide thorough knowledge of vehicle features and benefits
- Utilize all available resources and tools to effectively follow-up with customers and increase sales
- Work closely with finance and insurance teams to ensure smooth and efficient completion of all sales transactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities
- Continuously meet and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to the overall sales goals of James Chevrolet

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework in business or marketing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive sales, customer service, or a related field
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Proficient in using technology and digital tools for sales and marketing purposes
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
