You’ll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to create great products that make a difference on one of the world’s most trafficked and loved websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of backend development experience and exposure to front end, working with high velocity teams. We want to work with the best, and we’d love for you to join us.What You’ll DoContribute to the design and development of new cloud-based software architecturesOwn and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability and deploymentProvide feedback about technical designs, proposals and codeAnalyze existing applications/databases and identify areas for improvementCraft and contribute to APIs that can support user experiences on web and mobile applicationsCollaborate with engineers while also conducting code reviews to ensure consistent design patterns are being appliedWho You AreExpertise in Python & Java with a deep understanding of its ecosystems and frameworks3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, Cognito, EKS, Open Search, Kinesis, S3, SNS, and SQS as well as infrastructure tools (ex:- Kubernetes, Docker) 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud technology especially with serverless computing, and event-driven architecture. AWS-cloud experience required.Experience with relational as well as NoSQL databases such as MSSQL, Postgresql, DynamoDBHands-on experience in web services (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).Familiar with client-side frameworks is plus, such as Next.js or React, and/or delivering consumer-facing digital experiencesExperience with messaging platforms like Kafka, enabling real-time communication and event-driven architectures.Possess strong technical, analytical and communication skills with the ability to visualize and document processes.Exposure to Test automation tools and practices (data contract validation, performance testing, etc).Understanding of how to create modular and extensible APIsProficient at using appropriate security, documentation, and/or monitoring best practicesFamiliar with Agile/Scrum methodologies​​Experience in fixing accessibility issues is a plusBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field with 10 years of relevant experience or MS with 8 plus years experienceThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$135,200 - $205,700Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
