Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Dexter, Maine

Position Type: Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)

Term: 2023-2024 School Year

Job Description:Soliant has partnered with a local school district whois currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team for the 2023-2024 school year. This full-time position involves working with students to assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy services to support their munication needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary school students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create and implement strategies to support students' munication and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in pliance with district policies and state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
  • Stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology and apply evidence-based techniques to support student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • ASHA (American Speech-Language- Hearing Association) certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged students is a plus.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations in the field of speech-language pathology within the educational context.
