Procare Therapy, a leading educational staffing company, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Bayard, NM. This is a full-time position with hourly compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet the unique learning needs of students with diverse abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies and instructional materials to facilitate student learning and achievement.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to address students' individual needs and ensure their success in the classroom.
• Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and the school administration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to student progress, IEPs, and other required paperwork.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with high school students with special needs is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse abilities.
