6th Grade Math Teacher - Blairs, VA

Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor through Soliant Education

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate 6th Grade Math Teacher to join our team in Danville, VA. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to promote mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license/certification in Mathematics or eligibility for licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Prior experience teaching math at the elementary or middle school level is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 6th-grade math curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
