Work location: Rosecrance Jackson - RJC Spencer, IA

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus one year experience in human services field.
• tCADC, CADC, IADC or related license required or obtain tCADC within 90 days of start date.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a full-time substance use counselor or gambling treatment counselor preferred.
• Have received specific training or education related to problem gambling or will complete this training within in the first 3 months of hire.
• Public speaking experience (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point and Outlook).
• Valid driver's license.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Work hours prescribed by the Outpatient Director and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
2. Conduct individual assessment sessions for completion of comprehensive assessment histories of designated clients.
3. Participate with direct supervisor in development of recommendations for patients and prepares assessment reports.
4. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions consistent with client treatment plans.
5. Develops and coordinates individual treatment plans with client, supervisor, and referral sources.
6. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
7. Complete online and paper form data reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Participates in coordination of community awareness concerning problem gambling.
9. Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups.
10. Assists individuals and families with referral resources for services as needed.
11. Provide a minimum of 10 hours of outreach and 10 hours of direct treatment services weekly.
12. Provide crisis and intervention services and management of Your Life Iowa referrals during business hours.
13. Attend monthly Iowa Department of Public Health meetings. and gambling continued education are also required.
14. Participate in Iowa Department of Public Health gambling continuing education training sessions.
15. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theories, principles, and techniques of problem gambling treatment.
16. Understand and comply with all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
17. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
18. Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
19. Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Based on education, experience and credentials

• Starting rate for Bachelors - $21.11/hour
• Starting rate for Masters - $24.44/hour
• Additional $.50/hr with CADC certification
