Shift Technician - Manufacturing

Essential Functions:

1. Possesses working knowledge of hand tools and machinery;
2. Possesses working knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment;
3. Performs dye setting functions;
4. Performs initial start ups of job for samples and production;
5. Maintains machinery and/or tooling to maximize efficiency and quality of production;
6. Troubleshoots equipment and machinery for production;
7. Optimizes molding processes to achieve product quality, production efficiency and process repeatability;
8. Maintains required inventories to support maintenance functions;
9. Participates and drives cost reduction initiatives;
10. See, reads, and follows ISO procedures, completes departmental daily set-ups, sheets, and logs;
11. Maintains a safe, clean, and professional working environment;
12. Fosters a cooperative, productive, and team oriented environment;
13. Follows and adheres to lock out/tag out program;
14. Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignment, adaptable to changing business needs, and continually learns and applies new skills;
15. Meets minimum physical/mental demands with or without reasonable accommodations;
16. Complies with all company policies and procedures;
17. Trains others on knowledge and skills mastered;
18. Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Requisites/Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associates degree or certificate from two-year college or technical school desired; ability to troubleshoot minor electrical and hydraulic problems required; ability to quickly identify and efficiently correct part defects, press issues, or equipment problems; ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
