Title: Structural Engineer

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:

• Manage and direct the company's engineering work.
• Lead and develop the company's engineering business development and client relations.
• Working out of the Portage area office, candidates will provide clients with engineering solutions for construction and maintenance/reliability issues.
• Direct/manage engineering operations for the company.
• Establish operational plans and staffing levels to develop offices capable of performing multiple large-scale projects and maintenance work.
• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
• Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels
• Oversee the writing of scope, budget, QAQC, continual improvement, and research and development
• Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential
• Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships
• Serves as Company representative at all levels of operations
• Other duties as assigned
• Monitor quality and process control, and suggest improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

•8 - 10 + years’ experience in engineering Industrial buildings, large-scale equipment, and maintenance.
• Professional Engineer registration required. Structural Engineer registration is preferred.
• Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills
• Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the industrial, commercial, or residential engineering industry is a plus Experience preferred in: construction, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel processing environments.
• Proficient in 3D analysis, CAD, and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Experience in FEI software preferred.
