Operator & Maintenance - Second Division, TX - $1000 SIGNING BONUS

In this role, you will work under the direction of a site manager to assist the Autonomy team in testing our semi-autonomous robots. This will include supervising multiple robots, and communicating test results and areas of improvements back to the Autonomy team in Canada. This role will entail work at the Second Division Solar Project in West Columbia as well as up to 4 weeks of work at the Old 300 Solar Project in Needville and travel to Big Star Solar in Austin up to 4 times a year for about 3 weeks each time. Accommodation in Austin provided. As needed, you may be required to use riding mowers to complete additional grass cutting.

**IMPORTANT: candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently around the US, and stay on sites for up to several weeks at a time.

Contract from April 1 - Oct 31, 2024 with the option to be extended till the end of the growing season as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Hours of work are daylight hours
  
• Potential for evening shifts and weekends
  
• Grass cutting utilizing company robots
• Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks
  
• Supervision of robots over several hours of operation
• Conducting Autonomous testing
• Site to site travel within the US and site stays

Required Skills/Experience:

• Valid driver's license + clean driving history
  
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including freezing temperatures, snow, heat, humidity, rain and muddy/ swampy conditions
  
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods
  
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
  
• Ability to work in the AM and PM, including on weekends
  
• Ability to live away from home base for several weeks at a time (housing provided)
  
• Small engine maintenance an asset
