Food Service Cook

McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is currently seeking a Food Service Cook.

As a Food Service Cook you will have the opportunity to prepare exceptional meals for the elderly and work with a team of co-workers that enjoy making a difference in the lives of others.

The Food Service Cook is responsible for reviewing the menu and preparing the daily meals based on the recipes provided. In the absence of the Dietary Managers the Food Service Cook ensures the dietary department is following the facility policy and procedures and ensures the dietary department is functioning in a productive manner. The Food Service Cook ensures the meals are prepared and served in an appetizing manner that is pleasing to taste and that is also visually pleasing. The Food Service Cook is responsible for making sure the meals are served at the scheduled times and that all food is served at the required temperatures. They prepare the residents meal trays ensuring the correct portion sizes, correct diets and the correct diet textures are served. The Food Service Cook is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work area at all times and they must follow all infection control policy and procedures.
