Robert Half is partnering with an international industrial chemical company to find a Project Procurement Manager responsible for managing the purchasing of materials and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, with a keen emphasis on negotiating and managing contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role requires up to 40% travel and the company does offer relocation assistance.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions for contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective contract management.
- Review, analyze, and draft contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and legal requirements.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any deviations or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with legal and other relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks and resolve contract-related disputes.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and market trends.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance to ensure alignment with business needs and quality standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and address any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and other departments, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement-related matters, including contract terms and conditions, supplier selection, and negotiation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Identify and assess risks associated with procurement activities and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience with the oil and gas industry is highly preferred
- Skilled in process improvement
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Extensive knowledge with contract agreements and negotiating terms
- Project management, cost/pricing tracking, inventory management
