Occupational Therapist Needed in the Pleasant Hill, Washington Area

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with students who have special needs, providing them with the necessary resources and support to help them succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Assess students' abilities and create appropriate learning goals and objectives
• Provide direct instruction to students, utilizing specialized teaching strategies and techniques
• Modify and adapt instructional materials and resources to meet individual student needs
• Monitor and track student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEPs, and other relevant records
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure open communication and support for students

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with special needs, particularly in a resource or inclusion setting
• Knowledge of various instructional strategies and interventions for students with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
