Job Title: Manager, Infrastructure

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

This position is a key member of the management team responsible for the technical foundation of ScriptPro. They will lead the day-to-day team responsible for the architecture, design, administration, and support for all infrastructure platforms across the data centers and campus buildings. The candidate will work closely with other Operations team members and collaborate with the Support, Applications, Training, Quality Assurance, and Security teams in support of all project life cycles in a highly available, scaled environment.

Reports To: Director, Information Services Operations

Schedule: Generally, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm CST. This is a remote position but will require infrequent travel to office locations including underground facilities. Additionally, occasional travel for training or vendor related activities may also be required. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

General Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure team.
  • Drive team priorities related to projects, operations design, architecture, and testing.
  • Manage strategic projects for infrastructure systems.
  • Manage the maintenance, upkeep, and support of all Infrastructure systems.
  • Work to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Understand infrastructure related security concepts and strategies and apply that to ensure systems meet or exceed standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other relevant IT personnel as required in support of enterprise applications, and hardware.
  • Evaluate, research, and recommend emerging technology solutions.
  • Maintain high level technology skill proficiencies through continued education and training opportunities in related to areas of responsibility and interest.
  • Maintain and respect all confidential information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Technical Skills:

  • 4-year degree in technical discipline, or equivalent related field experience.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere management, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies: Windows Server. Exchange, MS SQL, Active Directory, IIS, ADFS.
  • Experience with Storage area networking (SAN) concepts, design, management.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN concepts, implementation and administration including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers and wireless access points.
  • Experience using automated monitoring systems and technologies.
  • Experience managing and maintaining enterprise backup systems.
  • Experience with Office 365 including deployment, migration, and management.
  • Linux enterprise technologies: Operating Systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • MCSE, RHCE, VCP and CCNP certifications are preferred.
  • Network Technologies: Cisco Nexus/Catalyst, VPN, A10, F5, Wiring.
  • Security Technologies: Palo Alto, Proxy, ASA.
  • Exchange Online/Hybrid Exchange, Active Directory.
  • Workspace ONE, VMware Horizon (VDI), App Volumes.
  • Micro-segmentation experience (ACI/NSX/Illumio).
  • Experience with compute infrastructure. (Blade, Bare Metal, Hyper Converged).
  • Experience with information security technologies including log management, mobile device management. (MDM) and multi-factor authentication.
  • Experience architecting, deploying, and supporting technologies leveraging cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and orchestration technologies to create efficiencies such as PowerShell, Python, Puppet/Chef, Ansible, Vagrant, Salt, etc.

Working Conditions:

This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. In this position, individual will be expected to lift, up to 50 pounds, from time to time. Candidates must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required. Additionally, the individual must be able to distinguish different cable colors.
