Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Procurement and Planning Manager for a medical device manufacturer in the RTP, NC area. This position will be responsible for management of external supplier relationships and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of components required for production. Responsibilities: Manage and Lead Team of Buyer/Planners. Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company vendors. Manage sourcing and purchasing strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, improving quality, and optimizing business processes. Develop RFQ’s, solicit quotes and analyze costs/terms. Negotiate with vendors for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the company. Work with company leadership to negotiate and finalize contracts with critical suppliers. Work with vendors to address quality issues. Identification and assistance in qualification of new vendors. Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured. Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement. Establish and monitor supplier schedules. Build strong supplier relationships and serve as a main point of contact for all critical suppliers, staying up to date on open orders, statuses, issues, purchase volumes, changes in design/technology, contact information etc. Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through audits and other performance metrics (on time delivery, quality, service, price). Ensure all supplier adherence to code of ethics/conduct. Ensure Supply Chain policies and procedures are followed and maintained in accordance with ISO certification and all state and federal regulations. Develop and implement cost-savings and productivity initiatives. Change order management to on-board new vendors and make necessary changes to existing parts. Bill of Materials (BOM) management through ERP and QMS systems. Requirements: Related degree and a minimum 5 years’ experience in medical device/FDA regulated environment (required) BA/BS in Business or Engineering or related discipline (preferred) or 1-3 years’ Experience with ERP systems. ISM certification (preferred). Working knowledge of GMP/FDA/ISO environments and requirements Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) Proven ability to coach and develop staff. Must be able to travel 25%
