Sr. IT Network Engineer

IT NETWORK ENGINEERSpaceX is looking for an experienced network engineer with expertise in networking technologies that support routing, switching, dynamic multicast, Wi-Fi, network access control, automation, etc. This position will be directly involved with supporting and expanding our campus and data center infrastructure as well as our expansive wireless network using reliable and redundant design standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the design, implementation and troubleshooting of large and complex wireless networksConfiguring, installing and supporting campus and data center networksTroubleshoot wired/wireless networking related issuesSupport the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1XDevelop and enforce network policies and standardsPlan and prepare project roadmapsDevelop network automation tools to support our enterprise networkMonitor network health using in-house and 3rd party toolsCreate and maintain proper documentation of our networks BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 5+ of years professional network engineering experience OR 8+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degreePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standardsHands on experience with the following:Cisco Catalyst and Arista data center class switchesCisco wireless LAN controllers or other wireless technologiesNetwork Access Control (NAC) using 802.1XWave Division Multiplexing and Fiber OpticsDNS, DHCP, SNMP, IP helpers, ARP, CDP, LLDPBGP routingSwitch port security featuresNetwork monitoring toolsNetwork documentationLinux/Windows system administrationExperience with Python scriptingIndustry standard certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIEADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:        IT Network Engineer/Senior: $135,000.00 - $180,000.00/per year        Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
