Tooling Maintenance Technician
Are you a skilled and dedicated individual with a passion for maintaining precision tooling in injection molding processes? We are seeking a talented Tooling Maintenance Technician to join our client's innovative team. As a crucial member of our organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance of injection molding tools. If you are ready to make an impact and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mold set-ups, changes, and routine maintenance to guarantee efficient and reliable tooling operation.
- Troubleshoot and address mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues related to tooling promptly to minimize downtime.
- Utilize CNC machining, grinding, and welding techniques for tool repairs and modifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to schedule and implement preventative maintenance activities effectively.
- Analyze and optimize tooling processes to enhance productivity and minimize disruptions.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Processing, and Automation, to ensure seamless tooling operations.
- Adhere to established safety protocols, identify and eliminate safety hazards, and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of tooling maintenance activities and implement improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with tooling suppliers and external partners for repairs and enhancements.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in tooling maintenance within injection molding manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, grinding, and welding techniques.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems related to tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
