Serves as the coordinator of information technology projects related to the Community as Lab programs. Acts as a liaison with homelife and the school to include residents in the community projects. Coordinates asset management, equipment maintenance, and inventory activities. Assists in technology projects related to the Cal Farley’s community and infrastructure.

Requirements

Essential Duties:

1. Develops and assists residents in technology projects. Responsible for engaging youth to participate in projects and motivating them to sustain the projects. Provides training and direction to residents on these projects. Provides basic and advanced classes as well as an evening open STEAM lab once per week.

2. Manages MakerSpace lab where students participate in information technology, network of things, 3D manufacturing and other technology projects. Maintains computers and tools used in these projects. Performs research and prepares information vital to purchasing decisions for technology projects.

3. Applies scientific process to problem solving techniques.

4. Acts as a liaison with homelife and the school to include students in technology projects.

5. Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents and provides training and direction to residents involved in technology activities.

6. Teaches courses in collaboration with Boys Ranch Independent School District. Works with the school district to identify and align projects with school curriculum needs.

7. Assists in the coordination of special events as assigned, to include the Boys Ranch Rodeo and Adventure Fest, Tri-State Rodeo activities, Boys Ranch Fire Department activities, Oldham County Chamber of Commerce events and similar activities.

8. Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.

Job Specification:

1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

2. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

3. A minimum of 1-2 years in technology experience professionally or personally required.

4. Experience in a leadership role is preferred.

5. The ability to effectively teach and facilitate is required.

6. Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing.

7. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and related software is required.

8. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.

9. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

10. Must be at least 21 years of age.

11. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

12. Must be available for travel as needed.
